Auction Rooms

I caught up at the Auction Rooms with a couple of very old mates I had met at University. I think it had been at least 3-5 years since I had last really actually caught up with either of them.

It was great that in terms of personality nothing had changed really. We all chatted away, recalling memories as if they happened just the other day.

Parking during the weekday is relatively easy, I can imagine it would be hectic on the weekends as there are a number of excellent restaurants in the area.

This was my first time at the Auction rooms. I like that the options were very simple, which meant that whatever was on the menu was going to be perfection on a plate.

I chose the “Schadenfreude” – Crispy Pork Belly, with Potato and Ham Terrine, Fried Capers, Parsley and  fried egg.

On a tangent – Schadenfreude  was a word I learnt while I was watching Avenue Q whilst I was in San Francisco a couple of years ago.

Ok so back to the food… As expected the Pork Belly was AMAZING! I don’t think I even offered anybody else to try some, I just kept it all to myself. LOL

I followed it up with a Mocha, which was also a top notch quality coffee. MMM YUM!!!

It was a great catch up with fabulous friends and food. Would love to come back here again and again and again. Those who have been can relate.
